Best laptop sims 4 all packs and mods and school

Hello !
I am wondering if anyone knows a laptop that will run the sims (with all packs and a few mods) without any lags. I am curently playing on a asus laptop, but I think I’ve bought too many packs and now it doesn’t work anymore, even though I’ve lowered the graphic quality of my game. So I’d like to find a laptop that will work with the sims 4 and all packs with a great graphic settings.
I would also like if the computer was suitable for school (ie a big battery capacity).

Does anyone has a laptop to recommend ?
Thank you very much for your time and advices in advance 🙂

  • @violichou  What's your preferred budget, and what country are you in?  The best options will vary a great deal depending on both.  I can post a few good laptops to consider, or give you a more general idea of what to look for; just let me know what you prefer.

@violichou  From your description, I'm not sure you want a gaming laptop, although your budget would accommodate one.  The battery life would be okay but not great—it takes extra power to support the stronger components—and entry-level gaming laptops tend to be at least 2kg if not more.  But in case you're interested, this would be a good option, capable of running all current Sims 4 packs on ultra settings:

If you're not interested in a gaming laptop, you probably won't be able to play on ultra settings, although high settings may be completely fine.  This one should have good battery life, not exceptional but certainly more than enough for school.  It also has the fastest integrated graphics chip currently available in laptops.  To be clear, it's not as fast as a dedicated card like the 1650 in the Dell above above, but it should still handle high settings without any trouble.  The 16 GB RAM is also nice to have for multitasking purposes if not strictly necessary.

If an exceptionally long battery life is important to you, this one is about as good as you can get in a portable laptop.  Its processor is last year's model of the one above, and the graphics chip is somewhat slower, but you should still be able to play on medium-high or high settings, depending on your playstyle.

If you'd prefer something lighter and more portable than the ones above, this is an excellent option, with good but not amazing battery life and a graphics chip that's almost as fast as the one in the Dell.  It also has 16 GB RAM.

These are the best overall options I saw, but if none of them are quite what you want, there are plenty of other choices.  Just let me know what details matter to you, for example screen size, weight, whether the battery is excellent or just good, etc.  And if you have more questions, please feel free to ask.

Hello, I hope you're still around!

Can you think of a Laptop which would work for me?

I want to play Sims 4, I don't have many gamepacks but I have a huge amount of Cc (custom content). It should be light and work on ultra resolution without problems and have a big screen, like 15 or 17".

I also would use it to work, I need the latest PowerPoint, Word and Excel to work perfectly. My budget is 1000€ although my limit is like at 1500€. (Can still be higher as I would buy a used one)

I don't even have a clue whether laptops like this exist. 😂😅

    Thank you!!

@obtmoai49396  I'm still around.  There are plenty of laptops that would fit your needs, but I can't recommend anything specific without knowing what country you're in and/or where you'd be shopping online.  If you'd like me to find some good options for you, just let me know where to look.

In terms of what you'd want, the most important component is the graphics card.  An Nvidia 3050 can run all Sims 4 content on ultra graphics settings with plenty of room to spare; a 3050 ti would give you more of a buffer to account for potentially demanding custom content items but isn't strictly necessary.  You might also be able to find a deal on a laptop with the older but faster 1660 ti.  Even a 1650 can run Sims 4 on ultra settings, but you might notice slowdowns if your cc is more demanding than EA-made items.

Any processor that comes with one of the above graphics cards will be more than fine for Sims 4.  Many entry-level gaming laptops come with only 8 GB RAM, and 16 would be better (although not strictly necessary), but you could add more yourself or pay someone to do it for relatively cheap, so don't skip an otherwise suitable model because it doesn't have enough RAM.  For storage, a 512 GB SSD will be plenty no matter how much cc you have.

Some gaming laptops are relatively light, coming in under 2 kg, but that's about the floor for 15" models.  The MSI Stealth comes in around 1.7 kg and is a legitimate gaming laptop with gaming hardware. Some Asus Vivobooks and Zenbooks weigh about the same, but not all models have a dedicated graphics card, and there's a significant performance hit in playing on an integrated graphics chip.

If you need something lighter than those, your best bet is finding a laptop with an Intel i7-1165G7 processor: those have the fastest graphics chip currently available in a laptop.  But you'd be looking at high graphics settings, not ultra.
