Blurry gallery images and graphics in game

This is super strange but the images in my game look very blurry - even the welcome page and thumbnails for the articles on the welcome page. The gallery thumbnails have the same blurry look. 

I hadn't played sims 4 for about a month and when I turned on my PC the game had a update - after the update I launched the game and it was super blurry and it looked abit pixelated - my graphics settings have always been on Ultra and worked amazing. 

I have done everythingggg:

reinstalled the game twice 

deleted localthumbpackage

moved mods folder out 

updated my graphics card 

NOTHING WORKS ☹️

    @pmfposh  Do you see the same effects in both fullscreen and windowed modes?  Please test both and let me know, and please quit and reload Sims 4 after changing the setting and before testing.

    I'd also like a screenshot or two of the problems, or photos if the screenshots don't fully capture the issue.

    Finally, your issue reminds me of a completely different one I saw with Sims 3 running on an Acer Predator, so I'm curious whether this makes any difference:

    It's not a great solution given that you'd likely want the laptop to use the iGPU when you're not running any games, but at least it's something to test.  You can review the rest of the thread if you're curious, but most of it probably doesn't apply to you.
