Bug: Sim didn't come home from work

I am unable to find a way to post on the Sims 4 forum, so I'm posting my technical issue here.  I had a sim at work who was supposed to come home at 1am.  The only thing I can think of that I did differently is that I changed what she was doing at work a few times while she was away (normal, take it easy, etc).  1am came and went and my sim never came home (nor did her kid come back from daycare).  I was able to fix it by exiting to the main menu and reloading the game.  When it reloaded it started at 1am.  In the screenshot note that it shows her work hours are until 1 am and the current time is around 2:30am.

    Good idea but I don't have any mods. Just the Work and City Living expansions. And my game is up to date. Thankfully this doesn't happen every time...

    That's a great idea, I didn't even realize it was possible (it's been a long time since I've played so I'm re-learning).  I'll try that next time it gets stuck!

    Just try opening up the cheats console and typing resetsim firstname lastname.That usually works when my sims get stuck at work.

    I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.

    If you have any issues with Sims 4 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
