I'm having the same problem in my game and even after repairing the game it still wont appear, is there anything else I can do?
I am too. It's funny because this thread hasn't been active for months and now there are two of us within 10 mins lol. But yeah repairing doesn't work.
I am also having the same problem. I’ve just loaded into sims and went on to build mode and there isn’t anything coming up at the bottom? No objects nothing. I’ve repaired the game and I still seem to be having the same problem.
I do have quite a lot so it would be very difficult figuring out which ones are causing the problem.

are you using any mods/CC and if so, did you try without as suggested in the solution post of this thread ?
my search bar in build mode isn't working :/ it freezes my game than crashes after a minute
