Butlers will not tend to their everyday duties...

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a butler.
What happens when the bug occurs? The butler stands idle even when hungry, tired, outside in the rain/snow etc. (Got struck by a lightning one time.) They will not tend to plants (kept indoors) either; when I assign the butler to "Water Plants" it gives an error message.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my butler carry out his everyday duties as per usual.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have also tried re-configuring the butler's responsibilities but it didn't help.

    The gardening aspects could be related to the gardener issue.

    Did you try firing him and get a different one ?

    Not sure if this is another bug but my Sim's household seems to share a "pool" of two butlers. When my Sim goes out (visits a community lot) and comes back, there's another butler.

    They won't even go to sleep autonomously unless you assign them to go to sleep. This butler just collapsed due to energy depletion but visually he's standing idle.

    Both are in the game, there's never two butlers on the same lot at the same time. One butler used to be my other active household's butler and they just switch in and out between the two.

    I had something similar to that, the butler I hired (didn't really need one but if the gardener option doesn't work I thought I could use the butler instead) stayed at her spawning point, reading her book for all day. When the night came I was wondering if I really hired one and then I saw her standing with her uncomfortable mood. I was about to go talk to her but something really strange happened; She left.

    Another butler took her place and again, she took her little book and started to read it at her spawning point. It's like they work in shift now.

    I've always wanted a loyal butler, you know, the one butler who says in the same family for generation but it seems even that is not possible as the butler seems to change when you leave/come back to your lot. 

    Am I too demanding? XD
