Can’t put a roof on the ceiling!

Yes I’m on grid, yes I’m on the highest level I can go, etc. etc. I’ve checked it all. It almost always is telling me that roofs can’t be placed in enclosed rooms and if not it’s saying roofs must be built at an even base. Idk why it’s saying either of those things because it’s pretty even to me and I’m not trying to put it in a room. I got rid of any mods that I was using to build this and it’s still glitching. There are a few times it highlights green and allows me to place a roof if I put it in the right place which always changes where that is too. But when I place the roof down it goes straight to the ground (it’s a one level build). I wouldn’t think that using 6-7 roofs would be a problem but it seems to be. Does it matter that my building consists of rooms not just one room that I can later separate by walls? I really want to fix this please help!

It sounds like the game is not recognizing that the room is enclosed.  Here are a couple of things I thought of that you can try.

Check to make sure that you have all the rooms fully enclosed with 4 walls.

Another thing you can try is to delete the ceilings then put them back.

If you used any platforms, then change the wall height and see if you can place the roof then.

If you still can't get the roofs to place, then how about adding a picture to your post so we can see the problem.

    Hope this helps.
