Can I play sims 4 on my hp laptop?
I have a HP Stream 14" HD BrightView Laptop, Intel Celeron N4120 Processor, 16GB RAM, 64GB SSD, and I was wondering if I would be able to play sims 4 on it? I’ve see others say sometimes it’s laggy or crashes but I’m not sure.
@sickenillusion You could technically play, but probably not without significant issues. The graphics chip in particular is below the game's minimum requirements, and there's no way to work around that. Plus, if you've installed much of anything aside from Windows on this laptop, you may not even have room to install the Sims 4 base game, which is about 20 GB in size. Windows itself plus critical drivers may be another 25 GB, and the OS needs room to maneuver. Plus, 64 GB storage is probably more like 58 GB total due to formatting.
There is however no harm in trying out the game, since it's free and uninstalling it should fix any issues related to space. You could also install it on an external drive. Performance would still not be very good, but whether it's good enough to bother is subjective—you might decide the game is fun enough as it is, or that it's too laggy or crashes too often for you to enjoy it at all.
