After the most recent update, Sims 4 won't start for me unless I add -w into the command line prompts in game settings to launch in windowed mode. I also recently moved my computer into another room and hooked it up to my tv via HDMI cable. It was previously connected to an older (but still decent) monitor via DVI cable. I don't know if that's related to my issue or not. Included dxdiag

Have you tried to repair the game in Origin?
Another method - uninstal Origin manually in add / remove programs option Use Ccleaner.

Reinstal your graphic card drivers even if you have the newest one instal it once more.
Sometimes driver update requires a PC restart and it isn’t prompting all users to do so.
