Can this laptop run the sims with the latest updates?

I want to buy a new laptop because mine has been really slow with the latest updates/expansions. For example it can take up to 5-8 min just to load the game.  Anyway the one I want to buy is the Asu...

Thank you!! That is actually really good to hear lol. I might be playing other games but that's the main one I want to play, other than that it'd be just for uni. Max I'd pay is $700 which is what I'd be paying for this one, and I live in Dominican Republic. I've seen other laptops that are def a lot better than this one but I'd feel guilty paying more than that if it's just for a game.

@dianaquast  That isn't a bad computer for $700.  Where would you be buying from?  I'm not at all familiar with what's available in the Dominican Republic, although it sounds like you might be looking at U.S. stores.  Let me know what stores deliver to you, or alternately if you'll be buying while in the U.S., and I'll see if I can find some other options.
