Cannot use interactions

hi all. i cant seem to get this working. i can click in menus, and on phone etc, but.. when trying to click on a sim, or floor, or another sim, or anything else it wont work. it doesnt come up with anything.  i have deleted all game saves, deleted all mods and cc, verified game etc in origin. any help would be great. thankx all!
