Update: I had him Practice Comedy Routine in the mirror. No skill bubble thing above his head. So I figured he wasn't getting experience. But all of a sudden he became Level 8 comedy anyway. It did not count as his daily task though! So I sent him back to the computer to compose a medium routine. Again, it's an available option and clickable, but nothing happened. I noticed that now I can select Compose Long Routine, so I did, but it does nothing also! He has never written a long routine yet, so why would he not be able to now that he's Level 8?
