Can't create genetic child in cas for same sex couple

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Now all the time
What is your current game version number? 1.63.136.1210
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions and game packs, no stuff packs

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When editing a pre-existing family in CAS (using cheat: cas.fulleditmode or world management) making a genetic child for a pre-exisitng married same-sex couple
What happens when the bug occurs? When creating a genetic child, one spouse will be there, but I can't select the other spouse. If there are other sims in the household they will show up
What do you expect to see? I used to be able to select both partners when creating the child
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated the game to the current version listed above.

I haven't tried this in a while, but I have made quite a large family tree with several branches, and have made genetic children for 2 men, or 2 women.

This works when I make a completely new family, but not with my pre-existing family.

I tried creating a child with one parent and couldn't change the relationship from housemate to parent/child. I also tried using a cheat but it wouldn't work

    @Calaqua

    Make sure one of them is set to be able to have a child and the other is able to impregnate.

    Thanks for the suggestion. Even when I make one female and able to get pregnant, I can't make the new sim the child of both spouses - it ends up reverting one to housemate.
