Does it work if you build it on the first floor ? Sims SHOULD be able to get in without a ladder just fine (they just jump in) so it seems there's something more going on.
Did you try starting a new game for testing purposes and/or try another house to see if it's limited to this one ?
Yes, I have tried everything, and there is literally no reason why this should be a problem. I have uploaded my home so people could see for themselves that there is nothing you can do to fix this problem. You are more than welcome to download this home and check it out also. My orginID is haley623 and the house is called Affluista mansion. I did build a pool on the 1st floor and was able to place a ladder and could get in and out with out a ladder. But this is still a major problem with my roof pool, and no one has been able to fix it.
I will give it a try (not sure if it will be today though cause I'm pretty busy)
I really wish we could figure out the problem. This whole thing has really bummed me out and I haven't even wanted to play because of it.
