Can't get Sims 4 to start
I'm still having the unable to start 0e6d1221 error. Please help me fix this. I bought a refurbished desktop computer, never played the game on the current computer. What should I do?
@Diva456 I'm sorry, but I don't think there's a way to make this work. Your computer is about 15 years old and below the minimum requirements for Sims 4. Its graphics driver is also almost a decade old, and it doesn't look like a Windows 10 version is available for your graphics chip. In fact, the processor doesn't support Windows 10 at all, which can present its own set of of issues independent of Sims 4. Your dxdiag also lists some potentially serious errors that I can't identify without digging into further, but I very much doubt that addressing them would help here.
If you want, you can try running the Legacy Edition. It's just the version of Sims 4 that existed two years ago, and at the time, the game would often run on very old hardware and drivers. I can't promise that it would work, or that you'd get a good play experience if you did manage to run it, but there's no harm in trying.
Ok, so in other words, I should get a flash drive and get my stuff off the old computer and buy a new one.
@Diva456 Yes, I think that would be best. If you'd like an opinion on any new computer you're considering, feel free to post a product link here, or list its full specs, e.g. not just the family of processors (Intel i5) but the exact model (i5-10400). Or if you'd like suggestions, just list your budget and country, as well as any other details that matter to you, for example whether you want a laptop or a desktop and what else you might need it to run.
