Can't Install Sims 4 from DVD with windows 8.1

Hi.  I've just got the Sims 4 for Christmas.  I have windows 8.1 and have the right system requirements as far as I know.   Everytime I click the icon for sims 4 (which is the dvd drive button), or ...

This is an easy fix. Treat your computer as if you're a MAC user and follow the instructions on the pamphlet. go to www.origins.com/download and install ORIGIN, create an origin account, after that's done, redeem your product code, then origin will open and ask you to sign in, there you'll see your game, and can download and install it, you'll no longer need to use the DISC
