@thesaturngirl561 Please attach the dxdiag to a reply here. I need to read it myself.
sorry again for the late reply, I hope this is what you meant.

@thesaturngirl561 Yes, this is exactly what I wanted. Your dxdiag lists a number of Windows errors, so please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
Next, please install the newest-available driver for your laptop's Nvidia graphics card. This driver is still quite old, but it's a couple years newer than the one you have installed. You can get the newest driver here:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/132841/en-us/
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and check the box to perform a clean install. Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
If any of these steps are confusing, feel free to ask for clarification. It's critical to do them correctly, so I'd rather go over the steps again than potentially have something get missed.

thank you so, so much for helping this far. I'll try to keep anything updated and tell you if this can fix my situation, I really hope this works. Thank you again.

first and foremost, thank you for everything. It's been 3 months since I've last tried to fix this and every month I attempt to fix this. Maybe without the right skills, I'm not able to- or at least not brave enough to fix it myself, but I got the first few steps right only for something to go off the rails and lead me to believe I shouldn't fix this on my own. I'm desperately trying to get my game back and I've only been able to wonder what kind of havoc has wreaked on my game these past few months. Thank you for everything, but I'm starting to think my laptop is the problem.

@thesaturngirl561 Please let me know what step or steps are giving you trouble right now. Please also post a new dxdiag since the previous one is somewhat old.
