Can't Play Sims 4 without internet

You can't play without internet. I've been playing Sims 4 for about a month. Weekly I been asked to log into origin, which I did. Last Wednesday I decided to let my internet go. It cost too much. But I was still able to play every day offline, until today Monday. I tried to launch game but origin log in pops up. I try to log in with user name and password, but received error saying I need internet connection. I think some changes or refunds need to be made because it states you only need internet to install game first time. When you actually have to have internet and sign in at least once a week in order to play.
