Can't Play Sims 4 without internet

You must have to activate the installation with Origin through the internet the first time the game is played. That is the drm EA uses for TS4. The disc version has  - "internet connection required for product activation". You will need an internet connection for patches and expansion packs. I can't believe nobody thought to use their smart phone. I don't think there is much bandwidth required unless you download something. Many people may be able to pick up a local hot spot. There are isp providers that use 4g wireless. Clear (which is owned by Sprint now is one that comes to mind). My Samsung S5 cell phone has a hotspot feature. Broadband dsl is not that expensive anymore. AT&T has been pushing Uverse (any speed $29.95/month). Broadband continues to become more available and cheaper. I've seen data plans as cheap as $9.95/month. If you use your smartphone, it goes with you where ever you go.
