Can't put birthday candles or wedding toppers on cakes.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to work, city living, cats & dogs, seasons, discover university, eco lifestyle, snowy escape, dine out and parenthood
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Whenever you bake any cake and want to put birtday candles or a wedding topper on it.
What happens when the bug occurs? The option to put candles or a wedding topper on it doesn't appear.
What do you expect to see? The option to put birthday candles or wedding toppers on.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It occured after the last update from 07/27/21

What I have tried so far:

• letting other sims bake the cake

• moving the cake around on tables and counters

• putting it in the fridge and taking it out • putting it in the inventory and taking it out again

• moving the cake around in the building mode • travelling to a different lot

• repairing the game
