cant research an emotion

I cannot research an emotion for the acting career because my sim has the "Seriously Peaceful" moodlet from one of the quirks in the fame tree. This occasionally causes one of the requirements for a movie gig to be unfulfilled and keeps my sim from getting gold in her movies. Also, because the "Seriously Peaceful" moodlet does not expire, my sim is constantly inspired. Is this a bug or something done intentionally?

    @maddiechristi 

    To get gold in Acting at least one interaction must be risky and succeed. it doesn't matter much that you were unable to research an emotion. However you can drink tea or shower or look at art to get in the right mood and when you then select research emotion you will be in the Very emotional mode which will override normal emotion levels.
