@gothboy_23 Try clearing the App's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and restarting your computer.
If that doesn't help, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the App.
If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use.

And let me know whether your computer has wifi capabilities.
Please also list the location where Sims 4 is installed. Open the EA App game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > View properties, and you'll see it here:
