Career Performance stuck

My sim is skill level 10 in both programing and video. He is a Champion Gamer in E Sports Gamer. His carrier performance level is stuck at average its not moving at all. It's been like this for sometime, seasons have come and gone. I've repaired the game 3 times had him play chess and had him program. He IS focused but its just not moving.

moving this to the tech forum for troubleshooting. The thread you posted in was a bit old and about the aspiration not the performance so I think it's better to continue in your own thread.

Do you just have this issue with one Sim ? Have you tried cheating the career level down and back up again to see if that unstucks the performance ?

When it comes to computers and me it's if it's not broke don't fix it. I'm very bad. I don't know how to do anything. And I don't use cheats or CC so I'm limited to what I can do. I once tried something and ended up with a virus that cost me $200. This is the game I played the longest, he completed 5 Aspirations and leveled !0 in about 9 skills. I don't want to lose it. In the past I lost everything all my builds all my sims and all my saved games. Once it was my fault and once it was Apple trying to help with my phone and computer talking to each other it took out sims and when I turned it on to play it said WELCOME TO sims 4, cats and dogs, vampire etc. I have everything so it took awhile. So it was like the first day of play. Starting over, please no more.

You can backup your save and if anything goes wrong, just go back to the backup: https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/backups/

Have you tried changing careers then and back ? You will loose one level but maybe it helps ?

Question again though: Does it just happen to that one Sim ?

I am having this problem too, in two different households in the same game.  The only way I can get the performance arrow to move at all is if I periodically switch back and forth between "work hard" and "normal;" then sometimes the white down-arrow marker jumps forward a tiny bit and the green "forward" arrow starts to animate, but then the "forward" arrow freezes and performance is stuck again unless I wait a while and then switch from "work hard" to "normal" again or what have you.
