I have the same problem, and like sweetlady2809, my circumstances are pretty much the same - PC meets spec requirements, config file says the game does recognise my video card etc. I reinstalled and even reinstalled my drivers. I'm at a loss, and really hope a solution will be found soon.
Thanks for posting. Could you post the content of your config.log ? I'm won't be able to help you but maybe it gives the devs enough info to find out what's wrong.
