CAS isn't functional since toddler update
Create a sim isn't functional since the latest (toddler) update. I've tried creating a new family as well as altering existing ones. The sim just stands in the middle (they still move, but their lips won't even when they're talking) and there are no menus except a very flashy traits bar. I can't even close out of the game when I go into CAS I have to ctrl +alt+ del to close the game. I hope there's a fix for this soon I was super excited to try out toddlers!
This is most probably caused by a mod (one or multiple). Try the method below to narrow down your problem. If it's a mod, you can use the 50/50 Method explained here: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content. There's also lists you can find by googling that tell you which are incompatible

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
If that doesn't work, try repairing the game through Origin
