CC Trouble

I have the Sims 4 Deluxe edition and the cc won't show up. I have it in the correct folder but I don't have an enable cc button in the game. What should I do? I like the base game stuff but it's really boring

    If you feel comfortable with editing of configuration files, you can open Windows Explorer and browse to "My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" then open "Options.ini" with notepad.

    Look for the following parameters and set the values as I've listed them:

    modsdisabled = 0

    scriptmodsenabled = 1

    If you don't wish to edit this file then you can exit your game, delete the file Options.ini, then re-launch the game and it will be re-generated. You should then be able to set the options under "Game Options" -> "Other"

  • What's your current game version ?

    You can find the version on the main screen in the lower left corner.

    Have you tried right clicking on Origin and choose Check for Updates ?

    Sounds like you're running a really outdated version of the game.

    Could you type VERSION in the cheat bar to see what version you have ?

    Do you play online or offline ?

    You need to connect online and then check for updates.

    There's also a file called gameversion.txt in this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\

    Open it with a text editor and c/p the content here.
