CC'S and mods not showing when game is started

I used to play The Sims on my laptop but it's starting to wreck the battery so I switched to the family computer. I redownloaded the game and gave it a try and everything was okay. Before closing it,...

@x__gigisaleh__x  Please move the Mods folder to the desktop, and delete options.ini, which is in the same Sims 4 folder.  Launch the game, which will create a new options file; enable custom content and mods, then quit.  Move one freshly downloaded mod to the new Mods folder, but nothing else, and see whether it appears in-game.  And of course make sure the mod is unzipped.

With the new options.ini, you'll need to redo all your in-game settings as well.
