change career outfit cheat not working

I know I’m a few months late, but... this is the first time I’ve had a sim with a part time job (she’s a college student living off campus), and I’ve edited it twice to no avail. 

It’s not a huge deal but it’s annoying nonetheless, I expect her piercings and eyelashes to stay put. Instead, she goes to work as a barista in her uniform with the accessories and makeup from everyday #1 minus any facial accessories, bracelets, and rings.

I wish we didn’t have to rely on a half-functional cheat to edit their work uniforms. I actually do like most of the work outfits, and I just want them to have their eyelashes or glasses, and any piercings I’ve added. 😐
