change installation folder
Origin no longer works on my computers. The EA app does not give me the option to change where Sims 4 gets installed. I have yet to figure out how to remove One Drive from this computer. I need to install Sims 4 in some folder other than One Drive.

Let me know if you have trouble with the process. Otherwise, back up the Sims 4 user folder: make a copy and store it somewhere else, not in Documents. Then you can unlink OneDrive, which will take it out of the picture entirely:
