Hi,

First of all, sorry if I make some mistakes, I'm French.

So here's my problem. When I authentify an object with the archeology table, it's not added to the collection if it's a new one. I tried several times.

I hadn't this glitch before, but I don't know what triggered it (add-on ? update ? CC ?)

The others collections don't seem to be affected. I added fishes, cristals...

Hope the screenshots will help you.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

So, I found out that I didn't made the previous tests properly.

The problem does NOT appear on another save, nor does it happen when I remove my Mods folder completly.

So, problem is CC, that's for sure.

But... I do have a LOT of CC and no idea which one is causing the problem.

Is there any program or solution to find the rotted CC ?

I know I can do it manually, had to do it with the Sims 2 years ago (removed the folder, puting CC back on a small amont every time... took me hours !) so if there is anyway to find the guilty one more easily... I'll take it !

EDIT : Nevermind, I found it. It was the latest kitchen elements (!) I downloaded. I trew them and everything is fine. If it helps someone else, it was the "Urban Kitchen" set (from TSR, I think).

    Thanks crinrict for the help.

@Soaline2 Could you test if it's isolated to a specific save game or happens on every of your save (best to try a new save that never had any mods/cc in)

    Maybe also another Sim
  • Hi,

Is there any way to make appear unidentified objects on the lot ?

I don't have much time to play with my work and I don't have any object on my other saves...

  • Hi,

So, I tried with 3 different saves (including one without CC), and each has the problem ☹️

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
