Computer losing videosignal during the game

OK, I reinstalled windows with formating disk C and naturally installed the game and drivers anew.

The problem is still there 😢

Anymore suggestions?

@Elenok Thanks for coming back, it looks like there were some pretty serious issues with the system. 

I saw unrepairable system files twice in the past once was sorted by a Windows reinstall, but the other one was a damaged hard drive. However the latter had widespread issues rather than the quite specific one you mention. 

Can you check if SFC still finds damaged files now after the reformat?

Just as an aside, you mention this happening with TS4, do you play other modern/3D games, or would this be the only one likely to tax the graphics card?

By the way, just to check things, can you double check all connections? I have no doubt you have already, but it's just a box to tick. If you're familiar with/comfortable with poking around inside your system you might want to check that all the connections there are secure/check for loose cables too. Please only do this if you are confident doing so, it's possible to damage your system permanently if you're not familiar.

I recently had an issue like that. It turns out one my cables was faulty (display port from GPU to monitor) and causing a short circuit. Even after I detached it, just touching the back of the PC with that cable caused me to lose my signal. Took me a while to figure that out. I fixed it by switching to a working DVI cable.

It only happened in one game (Rocket League) because I played that with a controller and every time I was in an exciting play, I pulled my controller back in pure excitement, causing the cable in the back to be pulled against the PC, causing the short circuit. But that's a very specific issue. Just check your cables if you haven't already. 😛

I also had a lost signal issue once when one of the power supply cables wasn't firmly attached to the GPU. (Edit: Looks like the 750 Ti doesn't require a power connector, except for the overclocked models, so that's likely not it.)

So futher on the situation

I ran sfc/scannow again, it didn't report any unrepaired files this time.

I do not play any other 3D games, but I ran a test with FurMark for an hour and worked perfectly well with max temperature 65C. Also I shoud add that video card is rather new (2 month old) and didn't have this problem before.

I also checked all connections. In fact, couple days ago after this problem appearing I called a specialist to check the computer, so we found fault with processor vent. It was changed and all computer details were taken out, cleaned and put back again (guess, we can call it a thorough check of connection))

Anymore ideas on this mistery? What else can I check?

Though I thought about this possibility as well so I bought a new DVI-cable.

Also I ran the game with a different monitor (plus a differen DVI and power cable) but it showed the same result.

So I guess the problem is not with monitor.

@Elenok Thank you, unfortunately I'm rapidly running short on ideas. 

If you pull up the reliability monitor and check for crash reports, is there anything for the TS4 shutdowns?

I fear it'll just be a generic error, but it might throw up something. 

So, just going to jump in here 🙂 My personal guess is that power supply might be struggling when running hefty DirectX applications.

Furmark is an Opengl based benchmark utility. Could you try with a DirectX based benchmark like 3DMark?

I ran the game, the signal got lost again and the only mistake in journal I have is that windows wasn't shut down properly (as I had to restart it manually)

PS run the game two more times and additionally to aforementioned mistake  i got also this one

OK, thingers crossed, seems I found the solution.

Had to change some setting in NVIDIA

For those, who meet the same problem:

control panel NVIDIA - Manage 3D settings

There select Multi-display/mixed GPU acceleration and choose Single display performance mode
