control panel disappear

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.60.54.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? University, Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Holiday, Get To Work, Laundry Day
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It's basically just gameplay...
What happens when the bug occurs? As I go into play mode and then build mode, the whole control panel goes away, and I cannot get back to the play mode either. After this, going to Main Menu won't even work and I'm stuck looking at the apartment (City Living)
What do you expect to see? The control panel, everything regarding control goes away.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I just installed the latest update

    @hannap9 Are you using the UI Cheat extension mod ? Did you remove that too ? There's a new version available already.

    @crinrict thank you! I've removed all mods and it seems to work, including the UI. Tried putting back all mods except UI and it still doesn't work... you wouldn't have a guess to why?

    Help! I have this problem too. Just started after my sims bought a vet clinic. I have never used Mods or CC. It happens after building, or if I accidentally click M and go to the map and then go back to game play. If I exit the game and restart it, it works for a little while, and then the bug comes back. I started a new save and haven't been able to replicate the bug on that save after about 15 minutes of playing.
