I have tried every thing I can think of I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and have repaired it 4 times through the EA app I have also removed all mods and cc I have and moved my Mods folder and My Sims folder onto my desktop. I also deleted my mods folder and created a new one and deleted the localthumbcache.package. Can someone please help me I have been trying to fix this for almost 2 weeks.
@mistystorms28 What antivirus do you use? Among all these reinstalls, have you ever installed the game into a different folder than than E:\The Sims 4?'
Out of curiosity, what happens if you go into E:\The Sims 4 and delete the EP04 folder? Doing so will uninstall Cats & Dogs (the fourth expansion released, hence the folder name), but the base game would be intact. I'd like to know whether you can play, even without the expansion, or whether you get the same error but referencing a different file.
