Sorry followed your first instructions I meant! The worst part was when I went back in, having taken out the mods and cache folders, I still had a frozen cursor.
@queenvictoriaxo
Please try the following:
- Exit your game.
- Move your Mods folder to your desktop. (Do not delete it – save this for later.)
- Delete the localthumbnailcache.package file, plus delete any other folder in the "The Sims 4” folder with the word 'cache' in the title.
- Restart the game so that it will recreate a new, fresh Mods folder. Do not re-add your Mods/CC, but instead enter the game and begin a new, vanilla (no Mods/CC) game. Enter that new, vanilla game-save to confirm if the issues are gone. Now exit your game.
Now re-add your Mods/CC one at a time to see if one was conflicting with the function/causing the glitch - but do not re-add the old config file from the old mods folder, as it is possible for it to have become corrupted also.
If this doesn't take we can try a reset.

So I did the first few steps, but when I open. the game my cursor froze again and I had to restart my computer. Is is possible that I need the legacy version?

@queenvictoriaxo I would not go the legacy version unless you're certain you need. Please try the directions at this link to do the reset:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/EDIT:
When you're doing the reset, please don't re-add the Mods folder. Only re-add any Mods/CC in the manner that I previously mentioned - testing after adding each.
Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Update : It’s definitely something in my custom content. I downloaded Legacy and it was working great. Added my mods and BOOM frozen cursor again. I’m going to uninstall and reinstall and go from there.
