Custom Content disappeared after update after mods were enabled

So I know that when your game updates, you have to re-enable custom content. So I closed out and updated the mods that have been updated. I reloaded the game, selected "enable custom content" and closed the game again. 

I logged back in and went to play my save. I immediately noticed that my custom hair was gone. I exited without saving and went to my Mods folder. It was completely empty. I *just* added updated mods into it. I checked my recycle bin. It did not have my Mods folder or any contents thereof. It's like I opened the game and it totally deleted those files. 

Just wanted you to be aware that this is happening.
