The Sims TeamThere is no sense in me doing a diag being that I have the same issue as most people since connecting to DX11! Bravo EA, your update once again has done more damage than fixing things! I want to know how to rid dx11 from my game, because I don't want it until all issues pertaining to it are fixed 100%. I had zero issues (well have been unable to test out what the last update and EP may have caused due to dx11), up until dx11 entered my game. So please let me know how to get rid of it? I need access to my desktop at all times when in game and all I did until last night, was simply tap the windows key and voila, and now the game refuses to allow any access.
@tntterrylook at the instructions here (https://answers.ea.com/t5/PC/Enabling-DirectX-11-For-Sims-4-on-EA-app-and-Steam/m-p/13711976) for using DX11 to run the game. All you have to do is do the same as you did before (ie write -dx11 in the right box) except delete -dx11, then save. That will make the game run on DX9 again.
I used S4S successfully to fix my cc! Precise instructions are in the link below. I downloaded the beta version of the program and it worked perfectly.
I did the same and everything is working as normal and my GPU is doing great. 😁
Batch fix took about 2 hours for 55GB. Lol
UPDATE: The GPU started spiking from 80-100% a lot. The rest is working fine. I decided to go back to DX9 for now. GPU is back to 50% again.
to run game in DX11,i must write -dx11 in steam(from where i downloaded game)or both steam and ea app?
