xXAlthaiaXx4eve Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), using the Intensive scanning method. Restart your computer, reinstall the App, close it, and run it as an admin: right-click the desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Then try to launch Sims 4 from within the App game library, not from its shortcut.
The "DisplayName field missing from registry" part of the error just means that the error message couldn't find the name of the game to include in the message itself. That's useful information, sure, but the interesting part is the rest of the message.

I had this issue for the first time today. I didn’t fill in anything, instead just clicking the X to get rid of it. Then I launched it again from the EA app and it was fine. Don’t know what was the issue with the pop up but my goto is to not trust something weird like that.

This is not working. I can't get it to do anything now. I swear, if I have to delete the game and reinstall it again, I am going to be highly pissed
