Dlc wont work after linking steam and EA account

I linked my steam and ea account yesterday, and now every time I try to play the sims, it tells me that a "restart is required to use dlc". I have repaired the game through the ea app, uninstalled it...

    @Lex_Quinnn 

    Please clear the cache for the EA app and run a repair on The Sims- if you still get this error from the EA app, be sure to let me know!

Btw computer specs:

Lenovo legion 5

AMD 5000 series 7

32 gb of ram

AMD Radeon graphics with nvidia geforce rtx

this is the most current update of the sims 4 as well and its not a mod issue

Do you own your DLC through Steam, or through the EA app?

    It’s all installed on the ea app. I bought it all on origin back when that was the platform and I’ve had some of this dlc for 6 years. I’ve tried launching through the ea app too

        I managed to fix it by first uninstalling the sims 4, then using app recovery on the ea app under the help drop down, and finally reinstalling everything. Thank you for your time and help though :D !
