DLCs and mods are not showing up, I'm lost in filles
Hi, so I haven't been playing ts4 for a few months and finally I logged to the game back. Before, everything worked just fine. I wanted to change a language to English so I found this method where you're linking your EA account to steam, downloading game from there, setting whatever language you want and that's it. I did it, but my DLC and mods didn't show up. The mods were not showing, even though I placed the folder mods in that with sims, so it should have worked. Then I changed in the ea app's settings place where everything should be installing as people were saying to do in case your DLCs don't show. And honestly I don't know what went wrong, but what I know is I might have messed up with my filles, I have so many of them, in different places and probably old back up folders, I don't know, I just got lost. when I uninstalled ts4 from steam, and wanted to go back to EA's, the mods and DLCs are still not in the game. And yes, they are installed, but in different folder ofc. I was thinking about delating everything connected with sims and with its name (apart from mods, I will just back up them, bacause it's one folder) and then installing everything from the beginning. I'm not scared of losing my saves, they're not that important for me, although it would be nice to have them. I just want to repair the game and use that method with steam for a language change. Now I feel like I don't know what to do. Pls I need help or a piece of advice.
@Lilenika3 If you want to change the language to one the EA App doesn't offer, you'll need to play through Steam, so yes, a clean uninstall is best at this point. First, back up your saves, Tray, and Mods folders, all of which should be in whatever user folder Sims 4 is reading. Here's how to find it:

It sounds like you may have moved your mods elsewhere, but as long as you know where they are now, you can back them up too. If you can't find your saves, it's simple enough to search for them. Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter Slot_ in the search field in the upper-right corner of the screen. Double-check the dates on the results, so you're getting the saves you want rather than newer or older ones. Click one save and select "Open file location" in the menu, and you'll jump to wherever that save is, which is probably where your other saves are. You can search for Tray as well to find the Tray folder, which contains your saved households and builds.
For the backup itself, you'd ideally store these folders on an external drive, zipping them first (right-click, send to > compressed file) to protect them. But if you don't have an external drive or USB stick handy, you can drop them in Downloads, which should be unaffected by anything else you're about to do.
Here's how to clean-uninstall Sims 4:
Once you've done that, restart your computer and reinstall the base game through Steam. Then sign into the EA App and download your packs, but NOT a second copy of the base game. These packs should install into the Steam version of the game, and when you load Sims 4, all your packs should load too.
When you've confirmed the game itself is working, with all your DLC loading, you can transfer the contents of the saves, Tray, and Mods folders to the Sims 4 user folder the game is reading.
