EA App auto-installed my add-ons

So I think I have the opposite problem to everyone else in the forum. I would like to only play with a few expansion packs and packs.

When I redownloaded the game, I installed the ones I wanted. However, this morning when starting the game, all of my owned packs, expansions, etc. have been automatically downloaded overnight.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future so I can only play with the content I want, and also without taking up so much space on my computer?

Any help on this would be appreciated! 🙂

Thanks!

  • @492b34fa77a02f84  The App does this automatically even if you tell it not to.  I would guess it's a "feature"; Origin used to do the same thing.

If you want to disable certain packs, that's simple enough:

If you want the packs gone from your computer, you can try deleting their folders.  Each pack has one within [install path]\The Sims 4.  I don't think the EA App will try to reinstall them, after the first time, if you also have automatic game updates enabled, but I'm not totally sure either way.

If you do delete the packs and the App reinstalls them again anyway, let me know; I have another idea for how to block the downloads.
