@PipandBee The folder in Documents > Electronic Arts contains the user data for Sims 4: saves, saved households and builds, mods and custom content, etc. This folder should not contain any program files—the data that the EA App installs—and trying to install to that location is asking for trouble.
Have you installed the game itself into Documents, or are you trying to do so? If the answer is yes, please try using a different location, for example the default location for games installed through the EA App:
C:\Program Files\EA Games
Please also search your computer for the game's .exe. Open a File Explorer window, click "This PC" in the left panel, and enter TS4_x64 in the search field in the upper-right corner. When the search is finished, if it's turned up any results, please use Windows key-shift-S to take a screenshot and post it here.
Thank you for the clarification! When I do that search this comes up:

@PipandBee The second result in your screenshot shows that Sims 4 is still installed, but perhaps the EA App isn't reading it. The fastest way to fix the issue is to tell the App to install Sims 4 here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games
The App should see the existing data and simply verify it rather than downloading everything a second time.

@hazzathesnail What exact issue are you having? If you're seeing an error, please post a screenshot.
Please also let me know how much free and total storage your computer has on its C drive. You can see that by opening a File Explorer window and clicking This PC in the left panel.
