You can try these steps:
1. Manually update the app. With the app closed (even in the task bar) go to Start>EA folder and select EA Updater. Wait for the app to be updated.
2. Once the app has updated wipe the cache. Again with the app closed, go to Start>EA folder and select App Recovery. Confirm and wait for the app to restart.
3. Now click on the 3 lines at the top left and select Go Offline, confirm and then click on the three lines again and select Go Online.
Try and see if that solved the problem.

I did all it is and it still didn’t work. It stays at 54% and then it goes down to 6%.
