Make sure you run the game on your GeForce card:

And that one probably could use an update.
- 9 years agoI don't have any option to configure switchable graphics. I did the first part though, and was trying to see if it would work, but it just broke again. The only graphic cards I have are intel and nvidia, also.

Nvidia is the right one. It's an Nvidia GeForce.
- 9 years agoAfter the most recent time of the sims crashing, my computer has not been able to power on correctly the first time I try and turn it on (it usually works when I restart it afterwards). I'm not sure if it's relevant but it is pretty unnerving to me and it's happened both times I've turned on my computer since I last played, the first time being immediately after my computer crashed. That crash was after I had set the program settings for the sims 4, too.
