EA sims4 keeps closing

I thought this was all due to low computer space so, I completely wiped my computer and got an external hard drive specifically for sims and re-downloaded. The game still runs slow but not "dial up" slow. BUT the game still crashes. I cannot find a crash file or anything related. I've done app recovery as well. I'm at a loss and I'm not great with computers but I need my "get-away" game. It helps me relax and now it's not relaxing because I have to keep starting over. I can't even get through a full house decoration before it crashes. Or get far in actual living game play. Help?

  • @mtessh  One of the problems here, perhaps the main one, is that your laptop's hardware can't really keep up with the demands of Sims 4.  Adding more RAM might help, but I'm not sure how much—the graphics chip is also going to limit how well Sims 4 runs.  If you do want to try though, another 8 GB would cost about $20, for example here are a couple options:

    If you want me to look for new errors that might not have been present previously and that might explain why performance is worse now, feel free to post a new dxdiag.

  • @mtessh  Please post a new dxdiag, and look for a new error in the Reliability Monitor that corresponds to your most recent attempt to play Sims 4.

    @lady_absentia  Since this thread is specific to the original poster, please create your own thread describing your issue.  Include the model numbers or SKUs of the components you've replaced, for example the RAM has its model number printed on the side of each module.  Please post a dxdiag as well.

  • @mtessh  Now that you've rebuilt the page file, please try a clean boot again, as described in post 10, with your computer completely offline.  It's important to have no internet connection at all.  If that doesn't help, please post the Reliability Monitor from the newest crash, as you've done before.

    I've asked for a second opinion on your issue in case I'm missing something.

    @puzzlezaddict

    I wanted to ask if there was anything to do to make the game process smoother. It is very 'frame by frame" when I play. And it's not a space problem because I have over 800gb free on the drive I'm using. I also have all the graphic settings to low
