Error in The Sims 4 folder
I had recently installed 8 packs in The Sims 4. The game had launched after the packs were installed, but the mods was reset. So I had to turn it on again and restart the game. The problem is after I turned off the game, I couldn't get back into the game. I clicked 'Play' but nothing happened. Instead the button just popped up again.
I tried moving the Electronic Arts folder out of Documents and I started the game again. It worked. Then I moved my Electronic Arts folder back into Documents. The error occurred again. So I figured that the problem is somewhere in The Sims 4 folder. The problem is I don't know what it could be exactly or where to find it.
I need help fixing this problem. If anyone knows how to do so, please let me know ASAP. Thanks!
@CharmB789 The issue is most likely something in your Mods folder, so try starting with a(nother) new Sims 4 folder and adding back the files in batches, testing to see what happens. Any time the game fails to start, you'll know that one of the last files you added is a problem, and you'll need to split the last batch and retest until you find the issue.
Once you've sorted out the Mods folder, you can add back the other folders (saves, Tray, anything else you want to keep) as well.
