Error message won't recognize when I remove a file!

    @potato_cween  You can try moving over one or two of your mods or cc items at a time to the new folder, not in subfolders for now (just to keep things simple), and see whether they work.  It's possible that the folders were corrupted, not the files inside, and in that case the files should still be fine.  But if you test several files this way and they all read as corrupted, then yes, unfortunately you're probably stuck redownloading them all.

    The custom content will appear in your saves as long as the content is present when you load those saves, and as long as you never loaded and saved with the cc missing.

Alright- moved my entire sims 4 folder and downloaded one of the old problem mods and the game ran fine. 

Does this mean I need to download all my mods/cc files again? Because I would be doing that for a solid week given the ammount of cc files and mods I used to have lol.

(Also, if I somehow managed to reinstall all my old cc clothes/build items- would they go back to the sims that were wearing them and/or the lots that had them? I have a save file with a LOT of sims and homes and after reinstalling all my custom content it would be such a pain to have to re-dress and re-decorate sims and homes.)

    I know this is a year later LOL but I am really hoping you could help me. I am having th same exact problem as you described and I was wondering did you ever mange how to fix it ?
