I have reinstalled Origin and Sims4 now but still get the Error message ☹️
"There is a problem with the game installation. Please reinstall the game."
@carromedc I meant you should right-click on the downloaded .exe, as in, the one you double-clicked to install Origin, and run that .exe (the installer) as an admin.
Anyway, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes. You'll see a list of errors and updates, with a column for each day. (Today is all the way on the right.)
For any errors that mention Origin or Sims 4 from after the reinstall, or any that happened at exactly the time you tried to launch the game, click "View technical details," then copy the information and paste it into a reply here. Sometimes the Reliability Monitor doesn't update right away, so if you don't see any related errors, be sure to check back an hour or two. The timestamp on the initial chart can also be off by up to an hour, so that's not an entirely reliable metric, but the one within the technical details should be accurate.
Please also let me know whether Sims 4 has ever worked on this laptop.
@puzzlezaddict Yes I have previously been able to play Sims 4 on this laptop.

@carromedc This is clearly an Origin error that has nothing to do with Sims 4. Whether it's preventing Sims 4 from running is a different question.
Does it help to run Origin itself as an admin? You can right-click on the Origin shortcut on your desktop to see the option.
Is Origin running correctly: does it open, does it have a connection, does your game library load? If you own any other games through Origin, do those games work?
No it does not matter if I run it as Admin, I still get the Error message unfortunately.
Yes Origin is running correctly: it opens, have a connection, i can se my game library. I had no other games but I installed one and it started without any problems.
@carromedc Alright, please restart your computer, open Origin, leave it open for at least 20 minutes, and then try again to launch Sims 4. Make note of the exact times you open Origin and try to play. When the game fails to load, look for a new entry in the Reliability Monitor, and please let me know whether it happened at exactly the same time as you pressed Play or if not, how much earlier.
@puzzlezaddict Hi, Now I have tested it but nothing new comes up in the Reliability Monitor.
@carromedc What Origin game did you install to test? Is the LocalContent folder now present? I'm talking about the one you couldn't find before when you were uninstalling Origin.
I tested "Fifa 21" and it worked without problems to play but I have uninstalled it now which was maybe stupid, should I reinstall it?
Yes, now the folder is there.
@carromedc You don't need to reinstall Fifa. The questions were whether your computer could run any Origin game and then whether the missing LocalContent folder had anything to do with this issue. Inside LocalContent, there should be a Fifa 21 folder. Is there a Sims 4 folder too, or not?
No there is only a Sims 4 folder there.
