Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully.

I am trying to install Mass Effect Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition (Not at the same time). When I install the game, it installs all the way but then it just pauses on the "Wrapping Up" part and ...

Try to run EA app as Administrator. (Right click the desktop shortcut of EA app > Run as Administrator.)

If that don't works:

  • Go to the MEA game folder. (Standardly C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect Andromeda\)
  • Inside the folder go to the  "__Installer\vc\vc2010sp1\redist\" folder.
  • Run the "vcredist_x64.exe" as Administrator. (Right click the exe > Run as Administrator)
  • Restart the PC.
  • Run the "vcredist_x86.exe" as Administrator. (Right click the exe > Run as Administrator)
  • Restart the PC.
  • Test.

Hello @holger1405 ,

Thank you so much for the suggestions but I'm still running into an issue when my system is trying to download the 2010 versions. For some reason I keep getting the same error that was shown in the image I provided when i try to install the 2010. It just keeps saying another installation is in progress and I should try later.

    @hive3454 

    Restart your PC. (A real "restart" not just shut down and start again.)

    Then use the VC++ runtime files I pointed to, don't use a different version you need to download.)
