everytime I exit build and buy mode

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.55.108.1020 (64 BIT)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? city living, island living, dine out, parenthood, strangerville, laundry day

What happens when the bug occurs? Whenever I exit build and buy mode, the bottom of the screen that shows the sims, pause and play button, mood and inventory etc, completely disappears, and the game freezes on pause, with me unable to play it, or even exit and save it. Essentially making the game more or less unplayable. I have run a program to try and find broken mods and cc, but it comes back with nothing. I have tried taking out some newer mods and cc to see if any of them were the ones breaking it, but have also had no luck there.Playing it with no mods and cc the issue is fixed, but I really do not want to have to start all over again. 
What do you expect to see? My game becoming actually playable. Me being able to enter build and buy mode without my entire game going down.

Please describe the patch or change you made. After the new game update came out for the anniversary and realm of magic game.
