Failed to create folder

I tried launching my game, but I received an error message that opened the EA app. It recommended that I repair my game, but during the repair process, I got an error stating that the EA app requires full permissions to create a folder. I'm confused about what it's referring to.

  • @wrongfulunicorn1  This error is typically related to an antivirus blocking access to the location in question.  So if you use a third-party program, please set an exception for EADesktop.exe.  If that doesn't help, disable the antivirus, temporarily of course, and try repairing again.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.

If that doesn't help, what error do you see when you try to run Sims 4?  Please post a screenshot.

  • I’m not sure if it was a temporary glitch but game suddenly started working. Thank you for your advice either way.
