Files Issue?
Help! Alright, this one is tough. I am sorry ahead of time for the grammar mistakes, but I am A. too lazy to correct it all and B. too desperate for help to care. I did run it through a grammar chec...
So I basically rename the files so that they are all different numbers (if there are dupes) and change them all to .save? Also, how do I see the file path in game? I was indeed going through OneDrive but it has since expired so I don't use it anymore but it is still there. I do have the saves file path through:
Steam LIbrary > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > Data > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves
I am so sorry btw. I am a typical netizen with a brain the size of a walnut so I am very much sorry in advance if I did not understand what to do properly. I wont do it YET until i am positive that that's what I need to though, so I'll give myself that bit of a brain.
@hfheJsujeJF Yes, you rename the saves so they all consist of Slot_ followed by different eight-digit numbers followed by .save , and the game should read them.
I don't know what that Steam file path is supposed to be: there shouldn't even be an Electronic Arts folder within the Data folder. When I said find the path to the user folder in-game, I meant use the instructions in the link I posted.
Does the number matter or do they just all have to be different? And not going through steam my file path is Documents > EA > The Sims 4 > saves . It is the same as the link said if I don't go through the steam files.
@hfheJsujeJF I personally would number the saves sequentially, or in groups, to keep things organized. But technically no, the order doesn't matter, with the possible exception of very high numbers. But four or five zeroes followed by any three nonzero digits should be fine.
